Let’s face it. Some weeks are hard.
Maybe it lasts just a day or two. Or maybe the Hard lasts for years.
We all just lived through a Pandemic. (Those years deserve a special category.)
But usually the Hard Stuff is more personal…
Maybe you or a loved one is facing a major medical issue.
Maybe you just found out you have to move cross-country with little notice.
Maybe the day has arrived when you must acknowledge that the gorgeous yarn you’re dying to buy can’t possibly fit into your budget this month.
Maybe you have a complicated relationship with holidays like this weekend’s Mother’s Day (in the US).
Whatever it is—big or small—life has a knack for presenting challenges.
Meet Daisy!!!
The latest challenge in my life is a puppy.
A sweet, adorable, beautiful yellow Labrador puppy.
Puppies really are the best. But y’all, I went into this already tired and stressed. Babies need attention and love and time and effort.
Blessings can also be challenges.
How do I face stress in my life? Sometimes not very well….😂 But! I’m shifting my focus from dreading the requirements on my time and energy toward instead dreaming up possibilities for…
Daisy-Inspired Knitting!
I recently published a tutorial on YouTube sharing the Daisy Stitch!! I love this sweet yet simple textural technique. (And I swear none of this was planned. Like, at all.)
But now I’m in Designer Dreamland, knitting clouds into Daisy Stitched projects. Something will definitely be coming of this, I have no doubt.
Let’s celebrate with patterns!!!
In the meantime, I’d like to chat about some of my first patterns I ever created to share with others! These patterns were inspired by both Gilmore Girls and White Christmas. Two of the patterns feature the Daisy Stitch! (Granted, in my Design Mind, they represented snow… but with all the daisies popping up around me, I feel like they are perfect for this season as well!)
Plus, I adore the Gilmore Girls mamas. 💖 (And who remembers Lorelai’s idea of a perfect proposal????😉)
So… please welcome to the Mountain Song Designs field of patterns:
Zig Then Zag Socks
Innkeeper Hat
Lord Help the Mister Cowl
These were all so fun to dream up and design. Any fingering weight yarn will work with these patterns. Each project uses a single skein.
Since these patterns were published differently than my current patterns, you will find an additional resource page with all of the Mountain Song Designs info and links you need when you go to download the purchased pattern.
Also!!!!
I’m adding a 4th pattern to my shop from among those previously published through lolodidit.
Bandoneon Tango Socks!
Play with color (the stripes only require a few grams each), and choose a fancy or standard cuff! Lots of room to dance with your design choices in this pattern!
You will find all four of these newly-added patterns on:
Discounts!
I am running a Welcome To My Shop Discount on all 4 patterns!
