Some of you may already know that I started out designing knitting patterns for a yarn dyer. 2022 was a big year for me in all the things I learned and explored. Over the past year, I have been adding those patterns to my Mountain Song Designs shops. I’m happy to say that, as of this morning, I have added allllllll of my designs to my Ravelry and Etsy shops!

As you can see, this pattern is designed for BOTH fingering weight AND DK weight sock yarn!
I have updated the pattern so that you can now purchase each separately, or together! On Etsy, look for the Bundle. On Ravelry, the ebook is linked on each of the individual pattern pages.

Why “Docs”?
When it’s time to wear your favorite 90’s boots (Doc Martens for the win!), these socks will take you out in style. You’re probably also wearing your coziest pair of corduroy pants and a waffle fabric shirt, which are reflected in these socks!
When you pick your yarn, channel your inner grunge or find your best Lisa Frank color palette for a fun and comfy pair of socks that’s as unique as your playlist!
Technically Speaking
These patterns include both charts and written instructions, as well as video tutorial support. These patterns have been tech edited and test knit. They are accessible to an adventurous beginner and beyond. Patterns include Video Resources for tutorials on casting on, binding off, and special techniques.

Sizes: Adult S (M, L)
Finished size: 7” (8”, 9”) / 18cm (20cm, 23cm)
Gauge
Fingering: 8 sts x 12 rows = 1”/2.5cm in stockinette
DK: 6 sts x 8 rows = 1”/2.5cm in stockinette
Yarn
Fingering weight sock set: 1 - 100g skein (MC) & 1 - 28g mini skein (CC)
DK weight yarn: 1-2* - 115g skein (MC) & 1 - 115g skein (CC)
*Note: you will need two skeins of MC yarn if you are knitting socks that are larger than the Large Size, 11” foot length (Men’s Size 11 Shoe).
Recommended Needles
Fingering: US Size 1 (2.25mm); 32”/81cm circular needle (OR dpns OR 9” circ + 32” circ)
