Pattern Release Day for Fade Into Neverland DK Socks
Have you ever thought to yourself, “I love knitting socks, but I wish they took a little less time to make?”
I have, and that’s why I designed my newest DK weight sock pattern!
My first independently-published design back in 2023 was the Fade Into Neverland Socks.

If you’d like the short version of The Why, essentially I wanted the convenience of a toe-up sock, plus the fit of a heel-flap-and-gusset heel. And who doesn’t love a fun fade? I wanted a way to combine two colorways (beyond the standard contrasting color heel/toe/cuff).
So… Here’s my DK Version!
I absolutely adore how these socks fit!
Plus, I have fallen in love with this yarn. I used Gabie’s Knit Goodies DK Merino Nylon yarn, in the “Caramel Macchiato” + “Monet Water Lilies” colorways. The yarn is sooo soft and easy to work with, plus these colors make me so happy! Look at those SPECKLES!!!!
Simply a delight!
Without really trying, I completed THREE pairs of these socks in about 2 weeks! And that was not with obsessive knitting. DK weight socks are simply SO QUICK!!!
Let’s get to the Pattern Specs!
Sizes: Adult S (M, L)
Finished size: 7” (8”, 9”) / 18cm (20cm, 23cm)
Gauge: 12 sts x 17 rows = 2”/5cm in stockinette
Yarn: DK weight yarn; 2 - 100g skeins; One skein each of two coordinating colors
Sample uses: Gabie’s Knit Goodies DK Merino Nylon (75% merino/25% nylon; 245 yds/100g); 1 skein each: “Caramel Macchiato” (C1) and “Monet Water Lilies” (C2)
Recommended Needles: US Size 3 (3.25mm); dpns or needles for small circumference knitting
Notions: Tape Measure, Darning Needle, Removable Stitch Markers
