A Weekend Win
Raise your hand if you watched the (American Football) Super Bowl last weekend!!!
🙋♀️
Regardless of which team you rooted for— 49ers or Chiefs, Taylor Swift or Usher—it was an exciting game! I had no idea who would triumph until the very last play.
I didn’t especially have a team preference, but I was happy that the Chiefs won.
In Deep
If you have kept up with my recent YouTube episodes and Substack posts, you may have picked up on the fact that I’m neck deep in a few new designs. I’m loving them, but I’m not accustomed to knitting only 2-3 patterns as fast as possible. As they are larger designs, it can feel a little overwhelming.
And… now I understand why I have 5-10 project bags flung about my house at any given moment!
Like the neurodiverse (particularly, ADD), I must be KNITodiverse!
If you are on the Project Attention Diversity Disarrangement spectrum with me [FYI—I totally just made that up], you know that sometimes you really need to feel a Win. Finishing a project checks that box in the most satisfying way.
So what did I do the other evening when I just needed a mini-win (aka quick distraction that didn’t induce guilt for not working on the other projects)?
I learned how to micro crochet a teeny little granny square.
It isn’t perfect, but it’s SO CUTE. And done!!!
Granted, I plan to make more and learn how to crochet-join them together. But this little square feels like a big Win.
Knit Quick
I’m happy to realize that I have more designs in the 2024 pipeline that will fit nicely with my need for the occasional quick win.
If you like quick knits, I hope you’ll enjoy them too!
Speaking of quick knits…
